1. Go to Gateway of Tally > Create > Stock Item (or Alter an existing item).
2. Press F12 (Configure) on the stock item screen.
3. Set Use Alternate Units to Yes. Press Ctrl+A to save.

1. Under the **Units** field, select your Base Unit (e.g. `NOS`).
