4 simple steps to start syncing invoices to Tally

This guide is written for a review-first workflow. Setup quality, invoice quality, and correct Tally configuration all affect how smoothly the sync process works.

Create Your Account 📝

  1. Visit www.trulyinvoice.com
  2. Click "Sign Up"
  3. Enter your email and password
  4. Click "Create Account"
  5. You'll get 100 free credits instantly

Remember: Save your email and password because you will need them in the next step.

Download & Install Connector 💾

  1. After signup, click "Download Connector"
  2. Run the downloaded file on the machine where Tally is available
  3. Sign in with the same account you created in step 1
  4. Keep the connector running in the background while you sync invoices

Important: Keep the connector running while you use the sync workflow.

Configure Tally ⚙️

  1. Open Tally and load the company you want to work with
  2. Open connectivity settings and ensure the required local access is enabled
  3. Use port 9000 and keep Tally running during the sync workflow

One-time setup: After the environment is configured, day-to-day use becomes much faster.

Start Syncing 🚀

  1. Go to www.trulyinvoice.com/dashboard
  2. Upload your invoice file
  3. Review the extracted data before posting
  4. Click "Sync to Tally"
  5. Confirm the voucher in Tally after sync

The best results come from combining extraction speed with accounting review before final posting.

Troubleshooting 🔧

Company not showing in dropdown?
  • Check that Tally is running with the correct company loaded
  • Check that the connector is running on the relevant machine
  • Refresh the dashboard after the connector and Tally are both active
Connector won't login?
  • Use the same email and password as your TrulyInvoice account
  • Check the internet connection on the machine running the connector
  • Restart the connector and try again
